Elmo better step up his game...cause Abby Cadabby is in town!

Philly city scape. I made this cake for a bar mitzvah at Lochel's bakery in November 09'.

I made these for my darling little nieces out in California. They each match the decor of their bedrooms. Merry Christmas girls!!

As I have said before I currently work at Lochel's Bakery in Hatboro. If you like any of the cakes you see remember me the next time you have a party or special occasion.

Theses are just a sample of some of the drawings I do on cakes. I've been drawing and painting since about 8 years old. I was an art major in college, and have always felt that drawing and painting has been easy for me. I would like to think that if you pick a career that comes naturally for you, and that you enjoy, you will never really "work" a day in your life.

These are some paintings I did for my daughter Paige's bedroom. She has a jungle themed room with lots of cute animals on the bedding, curtains and a lamp to match. I've tried to personalize as much of my house as possible with my paintings over the years. As my kids grow and change I'm sure their rooms will change with them and I will always be up for the challenge.

This is my daughter Ella's room. I asked her how she wanted me to paint it and she told me" Cats and Dogs and rainbows and butterflies and owls and monkeys!" So after a few days of thinking it over and discussing some plans, we decided together that it should be a flower theme. I drew it out and after her approval I started painting. She's pretty pleased with the outcome, and so am I. She even helped me with some of the grass on the bottom of the mural. That part is near the base board, hidden by her bed. LOL! I also glued some rhinestones on the wall to make it nice and sparkly!

This is a sun I painted on the ceiling of my dining room. I am a big fan of the color cobalt blue and this entire room is painted that color. The inspiration comes from all those hours sitting in church as a child staring at the stained glass windows. The cheery shade of yellow I used for the sun makes just the right contrast. This sun can brighten up the dreariest of days!

This is a painting hanging in my bathroom. If I can't be out in the garden everyday at least I can have some flowers in the house. I painted a similar one for my Aunt.

This is one of my favorite wedding cakes I've done. The customer brought in an interesting photo. It was a foot tattooed with henna. I was to create a wedding cake from a picture of a foot. Well she really knew what she wanted and she was right! I loved the way the design worked out and picking a square cake to put it on was perfect.

Elvis fan, like myself!

You never know what you are going to be requested to make for a party. This obviously, is my toilet cake. I've made it a couple of times in the past three years. I used blue piping gel in the bowl to make it look like water. It is entirely made of pound cake and butter creme. The first time I made it was for an over-the-hill theme party, and in the water it said "There goes your youth!" Down the drain.

I have been a cake decorator for the past 12 years. I started out in California and when I moved out to PA I continued my craft. It began as a job but has become a hobby, passion, and a great creative outlet for me. It's a fun, imaginative job and I love it. I have worked at a few different bakeries since I moved out here and am currently working Lochel's Bakery in Hatboro, PA.

T
This is a painting I did for husband's cousin Brett. He had his bar mitzvah and his mother asked if I could create a sign-board for him. She gave me a list of all his favorite things. As the guests arrived to the party they were able to write their best wishes for the guest of honor. After the party Brett hung this in his room as a reminder of the special evening.

This is Aunt Keri and Uncle George with their giant dog "Boo".

That's my husband's grandmother and our pup Reets.

This is a painting I did for my in-laws. They hang it up in their living room when they decorate for Christmas each year. Every person in the painting is a part of our family. After thinking about an idea for a Christmas painting to give them, I decided to make it personal and sentimental. Some of the people and dogs in the painting have passed away since I created it and I have also added a few babies in the last month. The angel above the trees is my husband's great-grandmother Mimi, watching over all of us.
